Is my understanding correct?
(1) I’ve been coughing for a week and I still don’t feel well.--correct
“Have been coughing” indicates a temporary action.
(2) I’ve had a cough for a week and I still don’t feel well.—correct
“Have had” indicates a temporary situation.
(3) I’ve coughed for a week and I still don’t feel well.--incorrect
This sentence is incorrect because the present perfect simple cannot be used for temporary actions.
P. S.
I have never meant to ignore your advice or suggestions, but I have to bother you with self-made sentences because I need to make sure if they are unnatural and impossible so that I can teach grammar correctly. Thank you very much for your help and patience.
