Hi,

I was told that all linking verbs can be replaced with be verbs. But, the sentence, "I feel terrible", would have very different meaning if you replace "feel" with "am".
1. "I feel terrible" should mean that I get a terrible feeling.
2. "I am terrible" should mean that I make others get a terrible feeling.
Am I making any mistake here?

:)

(Please note that I removed the comma after But.)
