I talked to a mom the other day. She told me now her daughter goes to XX school. I met and knew this mom a few years ago and we hadn't seen each other since then. Then she asked me if I had heard of the school her daughter goes to, I said:
I have heard only that it enjoys a very good reputation. Beyond that, I don't yet know very much about her school, but I'm eager to learn more about it.
I think this long sentence is natural and grammatical. But I still have some questions about it.
a) Do you think "have only heard" will sound better?
b) Is "Beyond that" natural? Or perhaps "Besides" is better here.
c) Is "yet know" natural?
d) Will the last two phrases "about her school" and "about it" be redundant or sound awkward?
