Hi, is there a difference between present perfect and present perfect continuous as in the sentences below:

- I have lived in the USA since 1990.
- I have been living in the USA since 1990.

- I have worked here for ten years.
- I have been working here for ten years.

I’ve read that both tenses are used to show “duration from the past until now”. However, I’m a little confused because I have read that there is a difference between the two tenses. Please help & thanks.

Re: present perfect vs. present perfect continuous & thanks.

The sentences in each pair mean the same thing.

Lily, don't be confused. Just remember the importance of context. (If you google those sentences you might find they are used differently.)
