Hi,

I have written"I have never been dating" on the net and saw it used. I would like to ask if the sentence with "never" is OK or should I only use a present perfect?

Thanks.

Without "never", the meaning is opposite. I don't know what you are asking.

I just wanted to ask if it was possible to use 'never' with a present perfect progressive tense or not.

I don't know what you are asking.
I think the OP is asking whether it is possible to use 'I have never been dating' instead of 'I have never dated', but I am not a teacher.

It's not a good example.

You can certainly say 'I have never been fishing before'.

Yes, grammatically that is as possible as "I have never been swimming/dancing." Though the phrase "to go dating" is not colloquial.
"I've never been on a date" would be usual.

He is very busy answering questions on another forum using the name fivejedjon.

Oh that was his initial nickname over here. I'll check that.

In my opinion, 'I have never been dancing/swimming' are not present perfect continuous forms. They are present perfect non-continuous equivalents of the present simple forms 'I go dancing swimming'.
I think 'never' should be added before 'go', but I am not a teacher.

Yes, I realised that at the time. But since the original question didn't make an issue of that, nor did I.
Rover's post, simultaneous with mine, also ignored that point. Certainly, what you say is right though.
