If I use got/gotten instead of had would it be correct?

I suspect that some people may use gotten there, but not got, I think.

There are two commonly used verb patterns that carry similar meaning:

have a chance to do something
get a chance to do something

That said, I suggest you use had, which is much better with present perfect. In past simple sentences, or sentences about the future, the second pattern is good.

I haven't gotten a chance to see the movie yet is correct and natural in American English. It means very nearly the same thing as I haven't had a chance to see the movie yet.
