1) I would like to inform you that I have been suffering from fever for three days.

2) I like to inform you that I have been suffering from fever for three days.

As the idea of liking is already contained in would, which one of the above sentences is correct?
 
No.
"I'd like to" is a polite and standard way of saying "I wish/want to".

"I like to" is used to express what you like doing.

I like to go jogging on the weekend.
I like to read in my spare time.
 
It would be more natural to say "I have had a fever for three days". Even if you decide to stick with "been suffering from", you still need the indefinite article.

There is nothing about the word "would" that has anything to do with liking. You have to look at "would like" as a polite form of "want".
 
And would is often used to express things other than politeness.
