i found a bug in the software, i have to log the bug in a "bug tracking tool", so that the developer get to know about the bug and fix it.

How would i say?

1) I found a bug in the software, so I logged the bug in the bug tracking tool against/on/towards the software. here, which is right word to use, against or on or towards ?
 
I note that you posted the same question in another forum within a very short time of posting this one here.

Please don't do that, It wastes the time of people who answer a question in one forum only to find that it has already received a satisfactory response elsewhere.
