A few days ago, I caught a cold and yesterday I couldn't even say anything but today I had my voice back.

I wrote the sentence "I lost my voice due to a recent cold and regot it the next day".

Is it natural?

What is the meaning of "regot"? I've used Google Translate to translate it to Farsi; its meaning -based on the translation- is "to forget again", which it seems doesn't make sense in this context. Does Google Translate give a translation in Chinese that make sense here?
