You could just say 'He doesn't listen when anybody tries to tell him something'.

Both are good comments. Another fine point: we usually put "I" and "me" last in a list of people, not first: someone else and I / her and me / they and I / Henry, Pablo, and me.

Okay, so we say, he doesn't listen when someone else or I "try to" tell him something. I just want to check the usage of verb "try" or "tries" because its tricky.
