Dear all,

Why "I see you" don't need prepositions but "I look at you" need "at" ?

Thanks

Dear all,

Why doesn't "I see you" need a preposition, but "I look at you" needs an "at" ?

Thanks
Hello,
Note the edits to your question. The verb comes first when asking a question.

Because some verbs, like "see" and "hear," take a direct object and others don't. I hear the music. I listen to the music.
