Dear teachers, is this sentence correct? "I spent 2 days for you to search for the information you asked."

What I am confused is whether I could use "spend some tiem for sb".
 
Try:

I spent two days searching for the information.

Or:

I searched two days searching for the information you asked for.
 
For your sake, I spent two days searching for the information (you asked for)
 
I think the pattern you are looking for is spend time doing something or spent time doing something.
