[Grammar] I strongly oppose to school violence.

I know that oppose can take object directly since it is a transitive verb

but this morning I found below sentence on the web, ESL site by a Korean teacher!


'I strongly oppose to school violence'

Is the above sentence grammatical?


I think we don't need 'to' in there.

Also i think we can say

'I'm strongly opposed to school violence'.
