Hello everybody. Could you translate and paraphrase this conversation for me please? I couldn't find out the meaning of it:
I know that coffee has caffeine to make you awake so I use tea as a substitute and so I use tea as my 'wake up' in the morning to get started.
Thanks a lot

We don't do translations. It's a sentence, not a conversation.

Tea also contains caffeine.

Thank you friend but I've heard it from two men.
So please paraphrase part of it . I mean:
I use tea as my 'wake up' in the morning.

Thanks again

I think you are looking for the meaning of "I use tea as my 'wake up' in the morning".

My understanding is that, this is an informal phrase to say "I use tea as my means of waking up in the morning" or "I use tea in order to wake up in the morning".

Thanks a lot Piscean and Eckaslike.
Thanks for your kind.
One more question.so tell me please what is the exact mean of ( as ) hear?
You mean it means in order to?!!!
I haven't seen such a meaning of ( as ) anywhere else.
What is the function of (as ) hear?
Thanks again

"In order to" is a phrase meaning essentially "as a means of" or "as a method of" http://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/british/method

"I use tea in order to wake up in the morning". = "I use tea as a means of waking up in the morning" = "I drink tea to wake me up in the morning".

e.g.

  • They've introduced all sorts of new elements to that programme in order to broaden its appeal.
= "They've introduced all sorts of new elements to that programme as a means of broadening its appeal".

  • In order to make the company viable, it will unfortunately be necessary to reduce staffing levels.
= "As a means of making the company viable, it will unfortunately be necessary to reduce staffing levels".

  • The president took the unusual step of altering his prepared speech in order to condemn the terrorist attack.
= "The president took the unusual step of altering his prepared speech as a means of condemning the terrorist attack".

  • Children need to feel secure in order to do well at school.
= "Children need to feel secure as a means of doing well at school".

  • He assumed a false identity in order to escape from the police.
= "He assumed a false identity as a means of escaping from the police".

Thank you so much Eckaslike.it's very kind of you to help me so good. You've gave me a very detailed response.thanks again mate.

You can say: I use tea to keep awake in the morning.

You can say: I use tea to keep awake in the morning.

Not A Teacher

Not really Tedmec 'to keep awake' implies the person was already awake for a period of time, 'waking up' suggests they have just roused from sleep.

And tedmc's sentence should say "I use tea to keep to awake in the morning(s)" or "I use to tea to stay awake in the morning(s)".
