Please let me know the correct sentence and the difference between both of them.

I will be getting married in march.
I am getting married in march.

Which one should I use while writing an application?

There is no significant difference in meaning between the two,. Remember that months begin with a capital letter.

What are you applying for? Is it necessary to mention a forthcoming marriage?

I want to write a leave application to the management in which a month has to be mentioned.

what does "a forthcoming marriage'' mean?

A marriage in the near future.

You can use either of them.
