Topic: Describe a trip you took by public transport. You should say:(Source)
My response:
Seven years ago, I travelled to Singapore with my mother by plane in winter. Before boarding the plane, I told my mother that we were going to fly a budget airline. At first, she thought a budget airline had a higher risk of aircraft incidents, so she was very worried that the plane might get crushed or explode in the air. However, she seemed relieved after I explained to her that its safety requirements are the same as a traditional one's and the only difference is that food and luggage is not included in our tickets.
When we were on the plane, it was scorching. The strange thing was that after it took off for three hours, it was still hot, so I asked the passenger who sat next to me if it was normal. She told me that in Singapore, summer is all year around. I was shocked to hear that. I hadn't expected that it has no winter! That was a huge disappointment. I suddenly regretted visiting Singapore. However, the food was great. I ordered curry chicken for the in-flight meal. The chicken was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I also had an ice cream with a hint of onion. That was an interesting taste for me. I didn't know exactly what it was made from but I liked it. During the flight, my interest in sightseeing had dropped half but I had high hopes for food. I took out my travel guide and read up on only restaurants.
I will never forget this trip because it reminds me to check about the weather for every travel.
