Is there a rule to place "if any" in a specific position of a sentence? What about "I got, if any, little help from him"? Is it awkward?

These are correct.
 
You will find similar phrases in different positions in sentences.

Q. Did you get more help from him?
A. I got, if anything, even less help from him!

Q. Is it warm out today?
A. If anything, it's colder than it was yesterday.
