Which should I choose, take or took in the sentences below. Could you explain to me the reason for your choice? This is my writing, so there are no sources.

If it weren’t for technology, there would be no amenities of life we take/took for granted.
 
You need the present tense because you're tlking about general present time, not past time.

Would you like to rephrase your sentence in a different way? The part 'amenities of life' is not right.

The sentence I wrote is the subjunctive mode, but the subjunctive mode shouldn’t be applied to the part “take something for granted” because it’s just stating a fact, not something imaginary.
 
I was actually suggesting that you rephrase the sentence, but as I'm feeling generous, I'll do it for you:

If it weren't for technology, we would have none of the luxuries that we take for granted.
Were it not for technology, we would lack the many amenities that we take for granted.
Without technology, we would also be without the modern comforts of life that we take for granted.
