Hello. What does 'If only...' means in the context below?
Does it mean the speaker wishes all the world is a perfect snow world just like that?
(The speaker(a thirteen-year-old Korean girl)'s family owned a bustling department store in the city of Sinuiju in the Northern Korea, but In 1946 after the fall of Japanese empire communism forces her family to leave everything behind to escape over mountains and a river to freedom in the south.)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Once again, Sinuiju was hit with a winter storm. Trees glistening with ice resembled glass figurines, creating a perfect snow globe world.
If only...
