If would have heard or saw/seen

"If you would have heard what she said or saw what she was wearing, you would know that..........."

Hope fivejedjon won't freak out over me asking perhaps another "one of those stupid questions". Can I use "would have done.."+the past simple in the if clause? I mean "If you would have heard....... or saw.."? Would be OK if I said "If you would have headr ..... or seen.....?

In conversation, "if you would have heard what she said, or [STRIKE]saw[/STRIKE] seen ...." appears to be acceptable to many Americans. It is not acceptable in BrE.

In conversational BrE, "If you'd (= had) 've (=have) heard..." is often heard, but is not considered acceptable by most of us.
