I was holding a plastic bag and busy getting plastic bottles and I walked by a restaurant, I saw there were some bottles so I went and picked it up from the dustbin. My friend was eating there and he saw me doing that so he asked what I was doing. I replied to him as "I'm collecting plastic bottles to sell".

Is the italic sentence natural?

Yes, but the rest of the text needs correction.

My A friend was eating there and he saw me doing that so he taking the bottles out of the bin and asked me what I was doing. I replied to him as "I'm collecting plastic bottles to sell".
