It was my boss. He asked me if I would take a look at some things he'd sent me. I'm going to give it a look later.

Is the last part perfectly correct and natural in the context? (in particular 'give it a look'?

Is the last part perfectly correct and natural in the context no question mark here (in particular, 'give it a look')?

It's OK in casual British English.
 
It's also fine in informal AmE.
