[Vocabulary] I'm searching for a word

Hi, I don't know the word but I will try to explain what happened. We have a very smart child. We visited our friends' house who also have a child. The parents liked our child very much and said that he's a genius in front of their child. Their child started to act smart too (his unconscious wanted to tell his parents he's smart too). What is the word that explains their child behavior in Psychology?

Their child got [missing_word] by our child.

The word is not [Jealous]. I'm searching for another word, it's like when someone gets "positively jealous"? of someone else so he wants to be like them. I know the word in my first language but my English vocabulary is poor!
