What is the difference between "in a few weeks" and "for a few weeks"?

When should I use [STRIKE]one of[/STRIKE] them[no space]?
Welcome!

"In a few weeks" tells us when something will happen:

- Me: When will summer begin?

- You: Summer will begin in a few weeks.

"For a few weeks" tells us how long something will take:

- You: How long were you in the hospital?

- Me: I was in the hospital for a few weeks. I'm home now and feel much better!

Notes:

- Start every sentence with a capital letter.

- End all sentences with punctuation.

- Capitalize the word "I."
