Have I made any mistakes?

In moments of lucidity, George would talk for a few minutes about his childhood and then he would lapse into a long silence.
 
Did he also lapse into silence in his usual non-lucid state?
 
Honestly, I didn't think about that, but I can imagine that George was mostly silent in his non-lucid state.
 
Your sentence is fine.

Lucidity is measured not by speech but by comprehension of what's going on. Someone can be perfectly lucid and not say a word.
