I like to think I know a little about English, but I know very little about the language of forums and threads.

Am I posting/submitting/presenting my comment/messages/posts/responses on/in a thread on/in a forum?

"In a thread" is certainly correct. "On a thread" doesn't sound right to me. "In a forum" and "on a forum" are both correct, I think.
