[Grammar] Inversion needed or not?

I'm a bit confused about which one of these two sentences is correct:
1. No matter how much I like her, she refuses to be friends.
2. No matter how much do I like her, she ...
The answer is needed as soon as possible. THANKS!!!

THANKS A LOT!!! Can you explain please? If after negative words/phrases such are seldom, hardly, not only etc. we need inversion, why do we have an exception here?

No matter is not a negative. It means regardless of.

Try:
She refuses to be my friend, no matter how much I like her.

Or try Yoda speak:

Like her very much, I do. Friends, she refuses to be.
