Can I use gerund "Ing" in a verb that comes after the following verbs?

> To be.
> To do.
>Modal verbs.

Examples: (Plz notice the "ing" in the verb enhancing)

>> Is enhancing the code algorithm good for readability.

>> Does enhancing the code algorithm good for readability.

>> Will enhancing the code algorithm good for readability.

Which one is correct and why. Thanks very much.

Are those meant to be full sentences? If they are fragments, please give us the full versions you have in mind.

Please note my corrections above. As you can see, the "-ing" form is possible in each one, although the rest of sentences 2 and 3 needed corrections.
Using verb+ing after a form of "to do" is precisely how we create the present/past continuous so it's very common.
