Both concentration and memory are examples of brain activity. So is every manifestation of the mind, so the expression is so broad as to be virtually meaningless.

Areas of study in psychology are often described as problems: the problem of attention, the problem of vigilance, etc.

No, that's even worse. Concentration and memory are two such completely different things that I'd say it is not possible to group them into a single category. Anyway, give us the passage which includes what you want to say. Make sure to tell us what exactly it is that you're writing, and why.
