***** NOT A TEACHER *****
Tom: I know where you're coming from. (Translation: I understand
what you want to say: the Parser is an old man who would not be comfortable at
a party with beautiful young people like us.)
PS: Hugh Heffner is proof that old men can be around beautiful young people!
PS: Are you really an old man?
To judge by the way many people communicate today, I think we are close to the stage when chatlish will be the international language.(I wonder if English will still be the international language!)
[STRIKE]maybe "open minded" is better to be 'open-minded", [/STRIKE] Maybe "open-minded" would be better than "open minded", and "where I come from" instead of "where I'm coming from", and in written language, there needs to be a "but" before "not everyone is".
Please remember to mark your answers that you are not a teacher. There were a few issues with your post (not least the fact that "where I come from" doesn't have the same meaning at all.)
