Is the conjunction "As you know, " polite enough to someone in very high class?

I am writing a letter to a very high class person and wondering if the following expression is polite enough.

As you know, our company has contributed to develop.....

The part I'm wondering is "as you know". Does it sound too casual for the letter addressed to very high class pseron?
Is there any better expression to express our respect? Are there any better conjunctions?

Thank you in advance.

I am not a teacher.

"As you know..." is not impolite, but if you are uncomfortable with it you could use, "As you are no doubt aware..."

Are you sure the person knows, or is no doubt aware? If not, how about "As you may know ..."
This is probably more polite, because it doesn't give the impression that this important person must know about your company. It really does depend on who the person is in relation to the information.
