Is this sentence correct? 'She thinks it strange to have to do it'

Would you be able to tell me and explain if the sentence : 'She thinks it strange to have to do it' is correct? Shouldn't it be 'is' after 'it'?
The construction of this sentence is very strange for me and sound very unnatural.

It's an old-fashioned construction but it is grammatically correct. We just don't really use it anymore. The relatively famous 1922 poem by Robert Frost, Stopping By Woods On a Snowy Evening, includes the lines "His little horse must think it queer, To stop without a farmhouse near".

The construction is still used after "find" and "consider".

I find it weird that you don't like country music.
He finds it helpful to write a list before he starts.
I consider that behaviour incredibly rude.

"She thinks it strange to have to do it" is perfectly good.

"He finds it odd that Bob eats beans for breakfast" is a similar construction.

There are many more possibilities.
