I pick up rubbishes along the street as a volunteer every day. My tool (see below) doesn’t work well at all when I want to take a bottle full of water ( or things that are heavy). I wrote this sentence to describe my tool “It can’t hold heavy things or It’ll become twisted”. Is my italic sentence natural?

"Rubbish" is uncountable.
Your tool is a pair of tongs. Each "arm" is called a "tong".
I wouldn't use "twisted" because that suggests that the two long prongs cross over more than once.
