I am a little confused.

Are these sentences correct, meaningful, or the same? If yes, which is better?


It is that book in my class.
It is the book in my class.
 
Can you tell us what exactly you are trying to say? Provide a context/background/a scenario.

There is no context. Just someone asked me.
 
They are grammatical. However, instead of making up sentences and trying to look for contexts in which they may work, you should do the reverse: start with a context/situation and write a sentence for that context.
