I wouldn't call either an 'adverb of manner'. The "end" of what? The "head" of what?

If you're looking to state a rule, maybe it's better to say that or so comes after the approximation whereas approximately usually comes before it.

Yes, when I said approximation, I meant the number that is approximated.

Yes, it was was inaccurate because add and come after do not mean the same thing. We use come after to talk about the position of something in a sequence. Here, I was talking about the position of words in a sentence. The verb add basically means put more, so if you add a word to a sentence, it could be to any part of the sentence.
