Hello everyone,
I have a problem understanding why we use "good" in this example to when talking about a verb "going". Shouldn't I use "well" with verbs and "good" with adjectives? Like in "a good job is the job that is always going well" or something like that.

-"How's the new job going?"
-"Good, thanks."

Thank you.

It's mostly speakers of AmE who informally use 'good' for 'well'.

The job is good. It's going well. If you combine those thoughts in your head, then "Good, thanks" works just fine.
