Hi teachers.

I wonder if "It's nice meeting you" is natural and possible. I've heard of "It was nice meeting you".

It's not impossible.

In what situation exactly do you think it could be used?

Let's say I went to an English club and at the end of the conversation with someone, I said "It's nice meeting you".

Is it natural?

It depends whether you mean at the end of the initial conversation, when you first meet, or at the end of the evening. Shortly after meeting for the first time, and after you've introduced yourselves to each other, you'd use "It's nice to meet you". At the end of the evening, when saying goodbye, you'd use "It was nice to meet you" or "It was nice meeting you".

I don't find "It's nice meeting you" particularly natural in any context.

I can imagine some contexts where It's nice meeting you could be appropriate, but none where It's nice to meet you wouldn't be equally or more appropriate.

For that reason, I'd advise you to forget about it.
