In the latest report of Phantom of the Opera on the Economist, there is a phrase: "Its success speaks to the holy grail that creating a blockbuster musical." I presume that "speaks to" here is synonymous with represent. Is that right? Can you offer more example?

You understand The Economist's use of the phrase speaks to. That's not the most common use of the phrase though.

You've omitted something from the quotation. As written, it's not a complete sentence.

Remember to end questions with a question mark.
