I want to send email to my manager. Is this sentence correct?

I would like to book an appointment with you preferably end of December so as to discuss my job options. Please let me know what dates you are available.

A few changes: "I would like to make an appointment with you, preferably at end of December, to discuss my job options. Please let me know what dates you are available."

For the first sentence, I would say: I would like to make an appointment with you for around the end of December to discuss my job options.
