juggle his glass eye

I found this while I'm reading Whitehead's The Intuitionist.

I can’t imagine how to juggle glass eye. Does it literally mean tossing glass eye?

I would assume that he removes his glass eye and throws it up and down in his hand, either on its own or actually juggling it and some other item.

How would we even know, unless he's juggling nude?

Throw in the missing family jewel, the glass eye, and maybe his peg leg, and then you've got a showstopper.
