Are both of these sentences correct:

1) Just as he respects you, you should respect him.
2) Like he respects you, you should respect him.

I think '1' is fine, but I have strong doubts about '2'.

The use of "like" in sentence 2 is casual. The first sounds more formal.

It'd sound more natural if you changed the order of the clauses.
You should respect him, just as he respects you.
You should give him respect, just as he does to you.
