I read a sentence on thefreedict/row:

There's no need to kick up a row; the boys will leave quietly.

What's the pronuncitiation of "row"?

Roh or rau?

It rhymes with cow, how and now.

Presumably that's what Silver meant by "rau". There aren't many English words in which "au" is pronounced like ow.

Thanks a lot, when I say "au", I wanted it to rhyme with "ow" as in "cow", and according to dictionary.com, it's rou, "ou" has the sound like "ow" in "cow".
