Hello,
Could you please help me?
in the sentence:

Edward VIII was the only British king who was abdicated.

Should I right 'king' with a capital or small letter?

And "who was abdicated" is wrong. It's "who has [ever] abdicated".

You should "write" it.

You only capitalize it when it's part of a title.

Edward VIII was a British king who abdicated.
King Edward VIII reigned for less than a year.

Of course, in Skrej's second example sentence, it wouldn't matter what the first word was - it would be capitalised because it's the first word of the sentence.

5000 people lined the streets to catch a glimpse of King Edward VIII.
5000 people lined the streets to catch a glimpse of Edward VIII, the king of England.
