[Vocabulary] laborious work

Are the sentences idiomatic? Is the expression "laborious work' natural?
At present I'm working on a new website. It’s laborious work, but I like it.

Several dictionaries include the words boring and annoying in their definitions of laborious. Using these definitions, it's difficult to see how one could like such work. You might say that the work is labor intensive.

Yes, and other dictionaries say, 'Requiring considerable time and effort'. In that sense it works perfectly.

"Laborious work" strikes me as a bit redundant. I like "labor intensive." Or even "hard work" or "physical work."

That's funny, because I went to OneLook Dictionary Search and didn't find boring or annoying in the first ten dictionaries that I checked before I myself got bored looking. Labour-intensive is something else.

Thanks to all, especially to Lotus888 - tedious is just what I need.
Now I can reveal a secret - in the original it was tiring, but I needed a word without the sound [aɪə] (it will be introduced a bit later in my textbook). I tried monotonous, but it wasn't exactly what I needed.
I think tedious is perfect.
