I've been listening songs by Dido to practice pronunciations and to understand better the language. What do you think about that? Is it recommended to learn?

In adittion, correct my writing is it bad because I've got problems with the use of "to" and "for". I'll be grateful.

Listening to songs can help, but you should remember that songs don't always follow the rules of language and often change things to fit the melody.

It will help you with a slightly nasal, whiny form of southern British English pronunciation. I don't know how she speaks but she sings as if she's from Essex with the occasional attempt at an American twang.
