Is "lie" countable or uncountable noun in English?
 
I have never told a lie in my life - and that's the truth.
 
But there's only ever one 'lie of the land': still countable though.

It depends whether you are telling one lie or several lies.
 
And if you want to tease a logician, tell them that your every statement IS a lie.
