Hi everyone,

I have 1 questions concerning life/lives, could you please answer me?

Computers are ubiquitous in our daily life/lives. (which one is correct and why?)

Also, what is the difference between life and lives? I'm kind of confused.

Either one could be correct.

Each one of us has only one life. Therefore, you could say that they are part of our life. However, collectively, we each have our own life, which is many lives, so you could say they are part of our lives. I lean toward the plural, as in "They risked their lives."

There is no possibility for misunderstanding so use the one that sounds better to you.

One life is singular.
Two lives are plural.
