Does 'very much' modify 'with her friends' or emphasize the degree of 'liking to go to the theatre'?

2- She likes to go to the theatre by herself very much.

Does 'very much' modify 'by herself' or emphasize the degree of 'liking to go to the theatre'?

3- She likes to play football very much.

Does 'very much' modify 'football' or emphasize the degree of 'liking'?

It modifies "she likes". Purists will tell you that "She very much likes to play football" is grammatically superior.

I assume you meant "with her friends" in the first.

She likes to go to the theatre and she really likes to go with her friends.

I am not a teacher.

We don't know from, 'She likes to go to the theatre with her friends very much' whether she also likes to go without her friends.

Not that I'm a purist, but 'She very much likes to go to theatre with her friends' puts the emphasis on her friends in the simplest way.

I agree generally with Roman55's logic but, for me, "She very much likes to go to the theatre with her friends" simply puts the emphasis on "goes to the theatre with her friends". It still doesn't tell us whether she likes to go alone. It could just tell us that that is one the things she likes to do with her friends.
