In the sentence "all mimsy were the borogoves" from Lewis Carrol's poem, Jabberwocky, what part of speech is "all"?
 
In the sentence "all mimsy were the borogoves" from Lewis Carrol's poem, Jabberwocky, what part of speech is "all"?
'All' would seem to be an adverb, modifying the adjective, 'mimsy'.
The borogoves were totally and completely mimsy.
 
I'm in thoroughful agreeance with that opinonion.
