Which of the following sentences is more appropriate?

1) The window looks on to the sea.

2) The window looks out on the sea.
 
Which of the following sentences is more appropriate?

1) The window looks out onto the sea.

2) The window looks out on the sea.
Those are both right as corrected. You can also say: The window faces the sea.
